All that glitters must be gold,
Tarnished hearts and tattered souls,
Why were you and I born to
This shallow world


Demanding lords of hollow lies,
To choose to follow not, to die
"The heathen and the infidel!
Death to all who dare rebel!"
Worshipping a god which never came

Fires fueled by broken glass
Reflect the spirits of the past,
Innocence drowns in the blood, all its own,
Drawn by the blades, which were meant to atone
For the sins for which not a one
Had been to blame

As the rich get richer, the poor left to rot,
The weak are deprived of salvation they'd sought,
And all of the people that we had forgotten
Are lain to rest
